Written By : Hassan Ali Lautoka. I strongly feel the Fiji Rugby Union must seriously consider including the practice of the T M technique for the players, manager and coach as this would immensely help the rugby team to do extremely well or even win international competitions.
Extensive scientific research on the technique conducted worldwide by leading scientists do indicate the T.M. technique markedly reduces stress, anxiety and nervousness, improves alertness, concentration, running ability, increases intelligence, self confidence, happiness, energy, strength, stamina, agility, reduces anger and develops faster reaction time. It brings about emotional stability, and sound mental and physical health and deepens perception. All these qualities will boost the morale of the players and are vital to produce the winning form that all of us want. When something as promising as T.M. is available, we should not hesitate a moment, but get in to it straight away. Otherwise what will happen is we will face the same disappointment that we have so far been facing – players returning without victory.
I think I do remember in the late seventies the rugby sevens team did come out victorious when some T.M. teachers from Australia were here and had taught the players this technique.
I have written to the Fiji Rugby Union but they have remained silent over this matter .They should act very quickly because in case they agree to use this technique, I am not in a situation where I have to teach the players just before they depart. The players must learn now well in advance of their matches and need to perform this very easy to practise, easy to learn, enjoyable, relaxing technique for 20 minutes twice a day morning and afternoon before they train.
In fact any individual or organisation can derive many benefits from the practice of T.M. and improve e the life of society and functioning Government.
