Doctor Serevi

Written By : Allen Lockington. How humbling it must be for Waisale Serevi to be honoured by the Leeds Metropolitan University and awarded a sports science honorary doctorate.
The university is indeed world class and I’m sure if we had still been in the Commonwealth he would have been knighted and called Sir Revi (Revi being the name he is fondly called by those close to him)
I have a feeling the university didn’t dither, scratch their heads and wring their hands to decide whether he deserved the doctorate.
They just did. I suppose those in the university are much learned people.
Hey Aunty Ili, any knighthoods coming Fiji’s way soon?
