A cloud of uncertainty hangs over the formation of the new GCC as the numbers needed have not been achieved.
Cdre Bainimarama earlier said the GCC meeting could not be convened any time soon as they did not have the numbers.
This follows the lack of chiefly nominations from the Bose Vanua.
Some names submitted by the GCC Taskforce were not accepted as they were not submitted by the Bose Vanua.
The prime minister upon receiving the names noted of the 14 provinces and Rotuma, only Bua, Macuata and Lau responded with nine names.
