School prepares for jubilee

Written By : SUN FIJI SPORTSDESK. Ratu Sukuna Memorial School will celebrate its 50th anniversary from May 24-28.
That will coincide with the Ratu Sukuna Day public holiday.
Golden jubilee celebrations committee chairman, Dr Ropate Qalo, said they would launch the book,
Ratu Sukuna Memorial School – Fijian School Education -1969 -2010.
He said a prominent chief would be the guest of honour at the celebrations.
Dr Qalo said a reunion for the school’s former students would be held during the Fiji Day weekend in October.
“Hopefully, the news will spread to old scholars all over Fiji,” he said in announcing plans for the celebrations.
The school opened in February 1960 with W E Donnelly as principal.
