Ilaitia Tuilau has opted to play for Labasa, says Shiek Ibrahim.
The Fiji Football Association acting president, says Tuilau will play for the Babasiga Lions in 2012.
“Tuilau was supposed to leave for Hekari FC in Papua New Guinea last week but has opted to stay with Labasa and he is currently training with his Babasiga Lions.
“He will surely make the starting lineup when the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League starts.”
Tuilau and Samuela Kautoga applied for their release from Labasa last year but were unsuccessful.
Tuilau was to join team mates Pita Bolaitoga, Taniela Waqa and Maciu Dunadamu who are playing for Hekari FC.
“It was good to see Tuilau back in Labasa and we understand that Labasa needs these key players, especially with the unavailability of some key reps in the team.”
The players in the O-league will not be available until June when the next transfer window opens.
