Nawatu on the mend

By MERE NALEBA

The Shop N Save Lautoka soccer team could be the first to book a semifinal berth in the Vodafone Fiji FACT.
This is if they beat Suva at Govind Park in Ba today.
The Lambert Sarju-coached team is optimistic of their chances of collecting an additional three points against the capital side.
Even with niggling injuries to Valerio Nawatu, the side is confident the star striker will be back come the big day.
“Preparations are going well and we have been given word by our physiotherapist that Nawatu should be ready by Friday,”Lautoka Football president Shalendra Prasad said.
“We are confident of extending our lead on the points table after Friday.”
The Lautoka side has rated Suva highly because it is  coached by former Lautoka coach, Gurjit Singh.
“Gurjit knows our weaknesses and our strengths, but that will not deter us from achieving our goals.
“The morale in camp is high and the boys are training well. I’m urging our fans to come out in numbers to support the team,” Prasad said.
The Lautoka versus Suva match is scheduled for 4:30pm.
