Ground problems

The perennial ground availability problem in Suva, as highlighted in Leone Cabenatabua’s article (FS 11/6), presents an ideal opportunity for the University of the South Pacific to upgrade some of its under-utilised grounds and hire it out for soccer and rugby matches. The university students themselves are strong supporters of both sports. I am sure as a keen sportsman; this idea will appeal to the university vice-chancellor.
Or, the prospect of making additional revenue for the university should.
In any case, it will further demonstrate that the university is a part of the community and not isolated from it and its problems.
