Labasa Sangam College is the first school in Vanua Levu to win the Under-15, U17 and U19 in the Labasa Secondary Schools Football Association playoffs.
On Saturday, the U17 beat Shree Gurunanak Khalsa College 3-0 at Vunimoli Secondary School ground in the final.
Labasa Sangam’s Roneel Ram said without the four regular players, the team still managed to win.
The goal scorers were Josefa Lutu, Fereti Ame and Vilikesa Sowani.
Sowani is the top goal-scorer with five goals.
“We played five games, scored seven and none against us,” Ram said.
He said they would play with the winner of Zone Two competitions to qualify for the Fiji Secondary School Inter-District Championship.
“Winning three major grades and being the first school in the North to make a clean sweep is a great achievement.
“I have been chasing for such record for 12 years and I thank the Almighty God for his guidance.
“I thank our principal, teachers, parents and fans for their support,” Ram said.
He said Sangam means united and the unity of all stakeholders led to the big win.
