The National netball team is pleading for support from the fans ahead of the Pacific Netball Series at the Vodafone Arena from June 27-29.
Team manager Tanya Vatubua said this is the first time Fiji is hosting an international netball event and they are pleading for support from the nation to be at the Vodafone Arena.
“We were very lucky to host the Pacific Netball Series this year,” Vatubua said.
“And we do not know what other year Fiji will host the PNC again so we are pleading to the nation to come down and support the girls.
“Our girls are all locals and the support will boost their performance.
“They have been training hard, sacrificing their work, families and studies to come out here and train every afternoon.”
The team is aware of their opponents seeking overseas assistance.
“Samoa and Cook Islands are currently training in New Zealand and PNG in Australia and they also have few overseas players in their side,” she said.
“But that is not a threat to Fiji since we have the heart to compete,
“It will be overseas versus locals.”
Tickets are on sale at the National Gymnasium and the Fiji Netball desk at Sports House.
Tickets are $5 and $2 for children under 12 years.
