Asco Motors, Matua Taxis help

Nabua Secondary School received a timely boost from Asco Motors and Matua Taxis yesterday.
Asco Motors donated sporting equipments and a new set of rugby uniforms while Matua Taxi donated $500 to assist with the development of sports in the school.
Matua Taxis chairman Ratu Lomaca Baleilevuka reminded the students the importance of education.
“We have been supporting you since 2003,”Ratu Lomaca said.
“We provided a free transport for your teachers this year and we were also supporting the Matua programme in school. And now we are supporting your sports teams whether its rugby, netball or football.”
Asco Motors regional manager (East) Arthur Breckterfield said one one of their objective is to assist schools around Nabua.
“We do not only sell cars but we also support our community, schools like you,”he said.
“Our objective now is to visit all Nabua schools and donate sporting equipments.
“This is done so that it can help develop students to excel in the sport you love.”
School’s head of physical education, music and art and craft Elemaca Ravulo acknowledges the support from both parties.
“This is a huge step for our sports department as this will help us to develop our students to become good athletes and rugby players in future,”Ravulo said.
“Most of these students are from the Nabua area, the area where top names in rugby like Alifereti Dere, Tomasi Cama grew up in.
“Once again we want to thank Asco Motors and Matua Taxis for their support towards the school.”
