Mana Island stakeholders get together

Mana Island Resort and Spa staff, management along with tourism industry stakeholders got together at the Fiji Premium Club House in Denarau this week to farewell resort managing director, Takehiro Nishida, who retires from his position.
Mr Nishida, has been involved in our tourism industry for over 17 years.
He has experienced so much and has also contributed a lot to the development of our tourism industry.
Mr Nishida said he would be leaving the country soon.
He said he loved working for Mana Island Resort for over last 17 years as it gave him opportunity to meet people from around the world who like to call Fiji their ‘home away from home’.
“I would like to thank everyone for their great support over the years especially assisting in the management of the island resort which have grown so much over the years,” Mr Nishida said.
“I also wish the new managing director, Kaoru Gocho, well in his new role and I know that he will surely take the Mana Island Resort’s name up to a whole new level in terms of tourist arrival numbers and hospitality.”
Mr Gocho said he was thankful to Mr Nishida for contributing so much over the years in the tourism industry.
Mr Gocho, who has worked for a Japanese Trading company for over 32 years, has been engaged in some overseas development in the past.
He said he has been in the country for two months now and has found that Fiji was indeed a nice country particularly with beautiful weather and rich culture.
He said he looked forward to the great support in the future from tourism industry stakeholders who were present at the event.
