Nigel is Rewa’s boss

By MERE NALEBA

Nigel Aziz Khan is the new president of the Rewa Football Association
This was decided after the council meeting held in Nausori on Wednesday.
Khan and vice-president Nazeel Buksh will now take on the reins for one year until the association’s annual general meeting, which normally takes place in the first week of February.
“We are happy with the announcement and that the two officials agreed to take up the posts,” Rewa Football official Sanjay Chand said.
“And we are hoping for positive things to come out under their leadership.”
Buksh will play dual role as he has also been selected to the district team’s team director as they now focus their attention on retaining their Battle of the Giants tournament title next month.
Rewa officials are also adamant that the new management will also see that the Delta Tigers will be able to achieve positive results in the remaining two Fiji Football Association sanctioned tournaments.
Rewa is one district that is laced with a good crop of players but failed to spark in the recent Vodafone Fiji FACT.
“We have good players and we believe the game this weekend is going to be a clash of the champions. Suva is the FACT champions while we are the champions of the BOG, so it is going to be a tough game,” he said.
Rewa will host Suva at 3pm on Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park in the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League tournament.
