PNG team on mission

A delegation from Papua New Guinea’s Ministry of Information is in the country on a fact finding mission.
The delegation lead by the ministry’s deputy secretary, Paulias Korni, met Fiji’s Ministry of Information Permanent Secretary, Sharon Smith-Johns, this week.
They discussed developments taking place between the two countries.
Ms Smith-Johns briefed the delegation on developments taking place in Fiji’s media environment and the strengthening of the Media Liaison Officers Network (a network comprising of Government spokespersons).
Highlighting the recent announcement by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama on Fiji’s constitutional process, Ms Smith-Johns said this would be one of the key areas that Government and media outlets would be involved in.
