The Suva Football Association is still undecided on whether national reps Samuela Kautoga and Sanni Issa will join the side during the Battle of the Giants tournament next month.
Suva Football president Mahendra Prasad yesterday could not confirm if the duo will feature for the capital side.
“When we have finalized everything that we will let you know, I can’t say if they will be with Suva during the tournament,” Prasad said.
The duo were tipped to join the Suva team as the side is hoping to have a clean sweep in all three tournaments this year. This was after winning the Vodafone Fiji FACT early this year. They are trying to lure top soccer reps to the district in their bid to win the BOG and the Inter-District Championship.
Meanwhile, the side will be using the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League to gauge the performance of their players ahead of the BOG.
Suva will travel to Nausori on Sunday to face Rewa at 3pm.
“Rewa is going to be a tough team to beat because they will be playing in front of their home crowd, but that will not stop us from trying,” he said.
The Emori Ragata-captained side is hoping to continue with their winning ways and is promising a good game come Sunday.
“We have so much respect for the Rewa team and we also know that Rewa is a champion team. We are expecting a good game this weekend.”
