It was a joyous, splendid and sparkling night for a prominent local businessman having triple celebration with his family members and friends at the Grand Eastern Hotel in Labasa.
Charan Jeath Singh celebrated his 50th birthday, 25th wedding anniversary and his twin daughters’ graduation on Sunday.
Mandvi Nandita Singh and Namrata Charan Singh successfully completed Bachelor of Commerce and Law courses at the University of Auckland in New Zealand in May this year.
Their mother Nandita Singh, a prominent Labasa medical practitioner, said this was one of her best family celebrations.
More than 100 well wishers, prominent people from every part of Fiji, abroad and former members of parliament were part of this celebration.
Ms Namrata Singh told the guests that her dad’s 50th birthday and her parents’ 25th anniversary was very special because it was a living proof of how deeply electrifying their love has been bonding their souls.
“Their love has been like silver, the element that has the highest electrical conductivity. It has been transferring their thoughts and feelings between the two of them and making them more glued each day,” Ms Namrata said.
About the twin sisters’ graduation Ms Mandvi Singh told the guests their graduation was a momentous event.
“We graduated with a feeling of deep satisfaction and it has marked the end of a whole era of our lives,” she said.
“Education is the best gift any parent can give to their children and without which I would not have such features of character as determination, self-confidence, purposefulness and commitment.”
Mr Singh on behalf of his family thanked everyone for taking out their valuable time to be part of their family celebration.
