The Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) Under-18 rugby team are confident of a good outing against Nasinu Secondary School (NSS) in the Southern Zone U18 semifinal on Saturday.
After losing to NSS 13-22 in their pool clash, the side determined to take revenge.
“We are training well and we know that Nasinu is going to field a very strong team,” MBHS U18 coach Viliame Sakiti said.
“That will not deter us from our aim of going out for a win this weekend.”
Led by co-captains, Charles McKenzie and Solomoni Cirikiwai, he said, a win over NSS would help them secure a position in the Deans Trophy play-offs.
Sakiti said the team management has been preparing their players on and off the field and believed that communication was going to play a vital role in their semifinal clash.
“The last time we played catch up rugby which cost us dearly. We came out late trying to grab a win in the last minute and that is one area that we will change during this game,” he said.
The MBHS side will play NSS in the second semifinal while newcomers Assemblies of God High School faces defending Southern Zone champions, Suva Grammar School in the first semifinal.
