Marketing firm supports snooker tournament

The Southern Division Billiard and Snooker Association (SDBSA) yesterday received a timely boost ahead of their 6 Red Snooker tournament.
Kaks Marketing Fiji Limited is now one of the three corporate companies to support the tournament.
The company which specialises in providing the best cleaning materials jumped on board and donated $1000.
“This year we expect more players in the tournament and like the previous tournaments, we expect more players from overseas and also from our North West contingent,” SDBSA official Bhatti Riffat said.
He said the association is grateful as the partnership has also resulted in them conducting coaching clinics to young children who are interested to make it a career.
“Billiards and snooker is being played worldwide and it is a recgonised sport and we request all young and old to seriously take part in this sport. Sports also keep people healthy and free from stress,” SDBSA media liaison officer, Keshwan Nadan said.
Nadan added that the association is hopeful that future tournaments would feature top international players competing against local players, in order to lift the sport to another level.
“In every tournament we have found new talents participating during pool games and it is really mind blowing, and also good to watch them play,” he said.
The tournament will be played from July 14-15 at the Fiji Merchants Club in Suva.
