Years of waiting to be accepted and be part of a church congregation, a group of young mothers and their children in Nadi had their prayers answered recently.
The members of the Loloma Home in Sabeto are now born-again Christians.
Twelve children from Home were blessed at a moving church service at the International Tabernacle Assembly of God Church in Namaka last week.
Loloma Home director, Adi Laite Kubunadakai, said this life-changing experience has brought joy amongst the children and their mothers.
Adi Laite thanked the church for giving them an opportunity to be part of a congregation and Christian community.
“It was an emotional experience to see the 12 children being blessed in front of so many people,” Adi Laite said.
“Children at the home come from different backgrounds and being accepted has given them hope now, knowing that they are truly loved.”
She said in the past, they used to receive many religions groups visiting the home but this declined in recent years.
“No church in particular had offered or invited the children and their young mothers a chance to attend their church.
“Not until the International Tabernacle AOG Church came to visit us, giving us an opportunity to be part of their church and we thank God,” she said.
The 12 children that were blessed at the church included baby Abraham, who is only three weeks old.
Loloma Home has been around since 2009 and has been surviving with the help of donors.
