Four young reps for Nadroga

By MERE NALEBA

The Nadroga soccer team will be fielding four players from their development team against Suva during the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League on Sunday.
The four players, who are members of their Under-19 team, will be replacing senior players who have not turned up for training.
Nadroga Football Association president, Dr Dhirendra Lal said the message to all players missing training was clear.
“The message is the same from day one,” Dr Lal said.
“If you don’t train you won’t play. The directive to the coaches and the manager is clear. Only the players who have been representing the district in the national league matches will play for the district during the BOG” he said.
Dr Lal said it was unfair for some senior players to abandon training and return just one or two weeks away from major tournaments to be part of the team when young players have been training well throughout.
“We will be fielding a very young team against Suva. We believe in our players and we know that they will do their best,” he said.
Waisale Tale Junior, Tomasi Tuicakau, Alvis Kumar and Setareki Vola will be featuring for the side on Sunday.
The team will also see reps like Archie Watkins, Sireli Vosa, Levi Tawake and Sitiveni Watkins to guide the side as they will try to secure a win against the Suva side.
The Coastal Rental Nadroga side will host Suva at 3pm on Sunday.
