AOG upsets champs

Assemblies of God High School created an upset in the Southern Zone Secondary Schools rugby Under-18 semi final after defeating defending champions Suva Grammar School 20-13 yesterday.
In the second semifinal Nasinu Secondary defeated Marist Brothers High 23-20 after the two were locked 20 all at fulltime.
The two Nasinu schools will now meet in the U18 final and are also qualified for the National quarterfinals while 2011 finalists SGS and Marist will now battle in the playoff to see who qualifies for the National quarterfinals.
In the U14 grade, SGS beat Latter Day Saints 36-5 in the first semifinal while Marist thumped Dudley High 27-0 in the second semifinal. Marist and SGS will meet each other again in the U15 final after Marist walloped Dudley 42-0 in the first semifinal and SGS defeated John Wesley College 15-10.
Marist continued their dominance in the U16 grade after beating Laucala Bay Secondary 12-0 in the first semifinal and SGS defeated RSMS 13-6.
RSMS accomplished their semifinal mission after upsetting John Wesley 13-9 in the first U17 semifinal and Marist defeated Dudley 24-3.
Final fixtures: U14 SGS-Marist; U15 SGS- Marist; U16 Marist-SGS; U17 RSMS- Marist
U18 AOG-Nasinu.
