Naitanui makes his mark

High flying AFL Eagle Nic Naitanui didn’t want to wear just a long-sleeved jumper down in Hobart on Saturday, but his full skins.
“With my colour I thought I’d probably get away with it,” he told Channel 7’s Game Day on Sunday.
The Fiji-born star said his West Coast teammates had threatened to fine him if he wore long sleeves.
Naitanui has a great sense of fun, especially when it comes to his twin Mark.
“We got the same birthday presents,” he said. “He’d get the red one and I’d get the blue.”
Asked to compare himself with his twin, who is much shorter and squatter and dreadlock-free – as different as Danny DeVito from Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie Twins – he said: “He plays too much PlayStation.”
Naitanui revealed he is still close to Carlton’s Chris Yarran and Fremantle’s Michael Walters, who grew up in the same Perth street and Carlton’s Jeff Garlett, who lived nearby.
“We still talk to each other every week and I catch up with the guys when we are in Melbourne,” he said.
After a Hobart boy held up a sign “My Nan loves Nic Naitanui”, he got to meet Natanui after the Roos game.
As Game Day host Hamish McLachlan said, “we’ll let you have a think about that one for a moment.”
