The Ovalau rugby team is eyeing a win against Digicel Cup points leaders, Tailevu on Saturday.
They will meet in the feature match of Round Nine this weekend.
Ovalau Rugby Union chairman Abele Vasi said they planned to end Tailevu’s unbeaten run despite the 6-30 drubbing they received in Vatukoula last week.
They meet at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori at 3pm Saturday.
“We know Tailevu is a very tough team and is the only unbeaten team so far,” Vasi said.
“They should expect some tough challenges this week.”
He said they had worked on their weaknesses from last week’s loss and had improved on their scrimmaging, lineout, defence.
Vasi said Ovalau would use their backline for open rugby instead of matching Tailevu upfront.
The islanders had been camping at Naidrodro in Ba since last week.
“We had a welcoming church service at the Naidrodro Methodist Church in Ba and we thank the people here for their support and  great hospitality.
“We had five trips to Viti Levu this year. Travelling is expensive, last week we played Vatukoula and this week Tailevu. We thank people here for allowing us to stay for another week,” Vasi said.
The Ovalau team departs for Suva tomorrow.
