Macuata rugby fans went home more than satisfied yesterday.
This was after the side beat Nadi 22-21 in the ninth round of the Digicel Cup competition at Subrail Park in Labasa.
Nadi had led 16-10 at halftime, but two drop goals and two penalties by Isoa Rokobici sealed the win for Macuata.
Nadi scored three tries to Inosi Sausau, Vima Tuidraki and Semi Vugona.
Macuata coach, Petero Baba was happy with the outcome.
“The boys are more determined as the tournament rolls on,” Baba said.
“The fans are happy and that’s a good sign.”
Macuata will host Naitasiri next weekend.
Nadi coach, Iliesa Tanivula was disappointed the loss.
“I’m very disappointed,” he said.
“But Macuata played well and congratulations to them.”
Tainivula said the team like any other team came with a positive mindset and they will work on their mistakes.
