A blood drive was conducted at the Fiji Police Academy yesterday as part of their wider community outreach plan.
A team from the National Blood Service arrived at the Police Academy in Nasova to collect blood donated.
Sergeant Rajesh Krishna, a donor said this initiative was to give back to the community in a different way apart from the academy’s normal programmes.
“This is in collaboration with other government bodies such as the Health department where people need assistance in terms of life.”
Around 20 police officers donated blood.
