Soccer giants Ba and Labasa will meet in the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants final at 3pm at Lautoka’s Churchill Park today.
The Men in Black will be out to win this prestigious tournament for a record 15 times.
And Ba coach Yogendra Dutt said the team is fully prepared to win.
“This tournament is important for us and we are working on a game plan to win,”Dutt said.
The Men in Black go into the final as the favourites as they have beaten the Babasiga Lions three times in the final.
Ba lost to Labasa 1-0 in their last pool match.
“We won’t let Labasa win this time,” Dutt said.
Ba will rely heavily on their top strikers Tuimasi Manuca who scored two goals in their 2-0 semifinal win against Lautoka yesterday and Osea Vakatalesau.
However, the Men in Black will have to counter Labasa and their star -studded side. Labasa defeated Nadi 1-0 in the first semi final yesterday.
The Babasiga Lions will go into the final unbeaten in this tournament. Labasa will have the services of top midfielder Taniela Waqa who was red carded in their last pool match against Ba on Friday.
And Labasa coach Epeli Levaci said the return of Waqa will add more spark to the side against the 14 times B.O.G champions.
“Waqa will definitely be in the starting line up and his inclusion will bolster the team against Ba”, Levaci added.
The premier final will start at 11am, third and fourth playoff between Nadi and Lautoka at 1pm and the super premier final start at 3pm.
