THE DECISION

Former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase was yesterday unanimously found guilty by the assessors on all nine charges in his corruption trial in the High Court in Suva.
THE CHARGES
l six counts of abuse of office contrary to section 111 of the Penal Code Cap 17
l three counts of discharge of duty with respect to property in which he has a private interest contrary to section 109 of the Penal Code.
FIJIAN HOLDINGS LIMITED
It was alleged that when he was a director of Fijian Holdings Limited, and shares were being allotted, Qarase did not declare his vested interests in:
l Q-Ten,
l Mavana Investments Limited
lww Cicia Plantation Co-op Society Limited.
THE PLEA
Qarase pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
TODAY
At 2.30pm Justice Priyantha Fernando will give his judgment.
