Fijiana crash to Aussies

The Fijiana 7s side has faltered at the semi-finals stage of the Oceania Women’s Sevens Rugby Championship in Lautoka.

Qantas Australia, which has two players with paternal links to Fiji, beat Fiji 26-5.

Rebecca Tavo, whose father is from Rotuma, was one of those who scored for Qantas Australia.

Other tryscorers were Emilee Cherry, Tricia Brown and Cobie-Jane Morgan. Lavenia Tinai scored for Fiji.

The Elenoa Kunatauba-coached side can still qualify for the RWC 7s in Russia next year if it finishes third in the championship.
