Fijiana in 7s semis

The Fijiana 7s side has progressed to the main semi-final of the Oceania qualifiers at Churchill Park, Lautoka, after beating Samoa 15-5 in the quarterfinals.

Unconverted tries to Priscilla Sauvavi Siata, Elina Ratauluva and Lavenia Tinau were enough to secure victory.

Soteria Pulumu scored Samoa’s lone try.

Fiji meets Australia, which has already qualified for the RWC 7s in Russia next year, in the semi-finals.

Other results: Australia 22-0 Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea 24-19 Tonga, New Zealand 52-0 Solomon Islands, Cook Islands 1-5 Samoa.
