Market capitalisation rises

 Despite the overall activity remaining slow on the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPSE) e-trading platform this week, the overall capitalisation of the market rose 1.63 per cent ending the week at a value of $792,342,424.

 The ascended market value is because of an increase of 3.75 per cent in the share price of the market heavy weight, Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Limited (ATH) and an increase of 0.34 per cent in the share price of VB Holdings Limited (VBH).

 In aggregate, 8532 shares exchanged hands garnering a consideration amount of $17,904.

 A total of 5 out of the 18 listed securities saw trades during the week under review.

 Moreover, the SPSE Total Return Index (STRI) rose 28.86 points this week closing at a value of 1802.96.

 ATH saw an increase of $0.03 in its share price closing the week at $0.83.

 The stock traded in two transactions with 3,550 shares exchanging hands accumulating $2,864 in consideration.

 Furthermore, VBH traded after a lapse of more than five months witnessing an exchange of 1000 shares. The share price increased $0.01 closing the week at $2.99.
