Rugby supporters have been urged to put on their best behaviour during the Coke Zero Deans Trophy semifinals at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka on Saturday.
Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union (FSSCU) vice-president development Saimoni Baikeitoga said yesterday the security of the students should be the main priority of the day.
“Come in your colours and cheer on your teams but please put on your best behaviour if things don’t go your way,” he said.
Baikeitoga said the FSSRU has been very grateful for the support shown by students, teachers, parents and old scholars during the Coke Zero Deans Secondary Schools tournament.
He said for the past weeks the FSSRU officials have been criticised on some of the decision they have made especially on the Under-18 rematches.
“All those decisions made by the FSSRU were done in fairness and also were very transparent.
“We believed in fair play and the only way to settle these issues were on the FSSRU laws or on the ground.”
Baikeitoga said the FSSRU wishes the top four teams who have reached the semifinals all the best of luck.
“For those teams who fell short please don’t be disheartened but try again next year. Put on your best performance and may the best teams win,” he said.
