Nadi
Just this week I was driving to Denarau for my physio treatment when I was stopped by LTA officers just on the entrance on Denarau. To my surprise there were about five vehicles in front of me but they stopped me and checked my licence and my vehicle, which is good enough.
This particular LTA officer from Nadi checked my vehicle and told me that my reverse light is not working. I had my baby son crying at the back.
I could not go out and check myself leaving my baby in car and I could not take him out with me because it was raining.
When I came home I told this to my husband and one of the teachers working with me. To my surprise the reverse light was working.
Now I have to pay fourteen dollars to LTA though I did not have defect because I cannot fight, they are not going to listen, it has been entered in computer so I have to pay. It’s a plea to male LTA officers to treat lady drivers with more respect.
