Fiji road death toll at 27

Fiji’s road death toll has risen to 27 after an early morning accident that left a 21-year-old man dead at Pacific Harbour.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the victim was returning from a kava drinking session when he was hit by a bus travelling from Nadi to Suva.

Police are awaiting a post mortem examination and the bus driver has been questioned as investigations continue.
