The High Court will rule this Friday on an interim stay application of a magistrates court decision to allow businesswoman Mere Samisoni and others leave to travel around Fiji despite facing criminal charges.
Samisoni faces a charge of urging political violence with three others, who had applied to be allowed to travel around the country.
The application was granted by Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili, but the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions sought an interim stay on the ruling.
Submissions were heard from defence and prosecution lawyers on the stay application and Justice Prabaharan Kumararatnam will rule on the issue.
