The Fiji Cabinet has approved the Ministry of Education’s ‘1 Laptop per Child’ programme, scheduled to start next month.
Three schools in Suva have been identified for trials to the programme – Navesi, Draiba and Nabua Sanatan primary schools.
This will see students and teachers using net books -small compact portable computers in classes; a move away from blackboards delivery and textbooks.
The Minister for Education, Filipe Bole, said the programme would move to 30 schools in 2013.
