Fiji survives against Italy

Kitione Rasotale was at it again when he scored the winning try to help the Vodafone Fiji XIII team win against Italy XIII 22-18.
The Fijians came from behind to win in the match at Penrith Stadium after the Italians led 18-14.
Fiji National Rugby League chairman Peni Musunamasi said the Italians exhibited Fiji’s weakness.
“Although we won, we committed a lot of mistakes but it was a good build up game for us,”Musuinamasi said.
“The Italians came prepared, they were better prepared than us,
“But we’re happy the boys managed to score two tries in the last 10 minutes.”
Musunamasi said the players alongside coaches Rick Stone and Josaia Rabele have highlighted areas that they would need to polish.
“Rick has seen some players and some players still needs to work on their skills but in regards to the warm up match, it was one of the best games that we could ever ask for
“We didn’t expect them to come out strong but we’re happy that the boys’ came back to score the two tries in the last 10 minutes.”
“Jo Uluibau played well at centre and also scored a try with Henry Raiwalui scoring the second last try which he also converted.”
