Fijian soldier dies in Germany

By MAIKELI SERU

A Fijian soldier serving in the British Army was killed in a road traffic accident in Germany over the weekend.
This was confirmed by the British High Commission in Suva yesterday.
Major Jim Hall, of the High Commission, said he had informed the soldier’s parents of the tragedy on Saturday night.
He said the soldier was survived by his wife and two children.
“They are being looked after in Germany.  There was no one else involved in the accident,” Major Hall said.
The identity of the deceased will be revealed today, Major Hall said.
