A driver escaped serious injury after the vehicle he was driving tumbled off the road in Nabua on Sunday.
The driver was travelling from his home in Tacirua to Suva. Speaking to the Fiji Sun, the driver said he thinks he fell asleep at the wheel and woke up when the vehicle hit the post.  He said he tried to stop the vehicle but it was too late and the vehicle veered off the road, tumbled and overturned.
“I’m grateful that I did not lose my life,” the driver said.
Police investigations continue.
