Oceania Beach soccer player of the tournament James Naka arrived into the country last night to boost the Southern Forest Navua campaign
And he is likely to start to the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants in Lautoka tomorrow against Navua.
Naka, who was the hero for Navua in their FATC win in June, joined fellow countrymen Jack Wetney and Clifford Wate in a bid to add another silverware to Navua’s cabinet.
Navua soccer team manager Krishnil Sharma said Naka’s presence in the team would definitely uplift their BOG campaign as they chase another trophy.
“He’ll (James Naka) will be arriving tonight (last night) and definitely would boost the players’ morale at camp.”
“He was named the beach soccer player of the tournament and is in top form to repeat another massive performance like he did at the FACT tournament,” Sharma said.
He said the Solomon trio (Wetney, Naka, Wate) in the squad should give no excuse for Navua to lose the BOG title.
“We’ve got no excuse to lose this BOG. At the FACT tournament only two Solomon Islanders were there but now we’ve got three and definitely we’re out to bag this one.”
“We’re capable of doing so and we’re confident of winning this BOG title,” Sharma said.
Navua has the likes of national reps Alvin Avinesh, Pita Bolaitoga, Simione Tamanisau, Taniela Waqa, Lorima Dau, Jesoni Takala, Pene Erenio, Ben Aminio and Shalesh Kumar to steer their BOG campaign.
Navua takes on Tavua on their first game at 6:15pm tomorrow.
Labasa plays Nasinu in the first game at 5pm tomorrow.
