A Labasa farmer who allegedly raped a minor changed his guilty plea yesterday.
The initial guilty plea to the rape charge was vacated by the Labasa Magistrates Court after the man got legal representation.
The 30-year-old man was further remanded in custody at the Labasa Prison.
Before Magistrate Avantha Wickramasoorya, the accused entered a plea of not guilty after securing a lawyer.
He was scheduled to be sentenced yesterday but the case was adjourned to the end of the month for mention.
The accused had admitted last week to raping a 14-year-old girl on January 28 while visiting her family.
