Madigi will coach Nasinu

3/11/2010

Former national soccer rep, Ravuama Madigi, is the new coach for the Nivea National Hire Nasinu team.

The former Ba and Rewa soccer rep-cum district coach will face a baptism of fire in his new job when he guides Nasinu against the star-studded Weet-Bix Shop and Save Lautoka in this weekend’s Fiji SUN/Weet-Bix National Football League round.

Madigi was glad to be given the opportunity to share his soccer experience and knowledge with the new looked Nasinu outfit.

He said he would use the Lautoka match to test his new players.

“Today (yesterday) will be my first day with the Nasinu boys.

“We will see what we can do together as a team in the next two or three days before the Lautoka match.

“We will be having one tough match this week and I know the players will do their part well at training.

“I’m grateful to Nasinu officials for selecting me to assist the team. I will do whatever it takes to help Nasinu do well this season.”

Madigi said sharing his soccer knowledge with young players was something he always loved to do.

He is ready to groom young Nasinu players to discover their full potential.

“Teaching young soccer players the basics of the game is one of my hobbies.

“I will use this opportunity to share my soccer knowledge with my new team and to help the players become better players.”

Madigi said the Lautoka match would be a huge test for his team.

It will be held at the TFL National Stadium in Suva on Sunday.
