Joseph Nimariau is in the mood of scoring more goals for Labasa in the Fiji Sun/Weet-Bix National Football League.
The ni-Vanuatu striker said he was offered quality, rather than quantity, in the past.
Nimariau scored his first goal of the season last Sunday against the BIC Power Electric Suva side in Round Three of the league.
Although reasonably happy with his return since joining Labasa in 2009, he is keen to add more goals to his name.
The Babasiga Lions are on a bye this weekend and will return next week to meet Energizer 4R Electric Ba.
Nimariau said, “I am delighted with my return to form considering that I only returned to serious training a month ago.
“I was struggling to regain top form in the first two rounds, so I was delighted with that to slot in the winning goal against Suva.
“I’ve managed to chip in with a few last season as well so hopefully that can continue.”
Nimariau has been one of the Puma Labasa most versatile players upfront during his two terms.
“I have enjoyed my time with Labasa and the friends and families I have come to find. I believe this will be a good season for Labasa.
“This is a youthful side and we have been playing together since the beginning of the season in 2009 and I believe we are familiar with each other’s game. We are coming up very well.”
